4. The difference between quizzes and assessments

An assessment doesn't allow for multiple answers, but a quiz could allow this (eg, "pick the ones you like best"). A quiz is informal, and if someone "fails" a quiz, they're not as heartbroken as they are if they fail an assessment.

There's no reason why you cannot call your assessment a quiz - it all depends on how you want your audience to see you!
