Calling all business coaches, consultants, service providers, and entrepreneurs!
Looking for a passive stream of revenue that can bump you well above the six-figure mark? Once you’ve set them up to sell, PLR products are your best friend for increasing your income without trading time for money.
Imagine if you had a collection of ready-to-sell white-label products, ranging from courses to planners, all at your fingertips - without having to create any of them from scratch. That is the magic of PLR. PLR products can save you thousands of dollars in time and money while creating multiple new revenue streams for your business.
New to the concept of PLR? I'll be giving a full rundown of all the essentials you need to know about PLR products and how to use them for your business.
What are PLR Products?
PLR (an acronym for “Private Label Rights”) might sound a bit technical, but don’t worry - you don’t need to be a legal expert to understand or sell PLR products.
Also known as “brandable content”, “done-for-you” content, or “white label”, PLR products are licensed products with non-exclusive rights, meaning multiple people can buy a license. Once you pay for the license, you can rebrand and use the product however you wish - so long as you follow the terms set by the PLR seller.
There’s no need to pay ongoing fees or royalties. Simply pay once for your product, and it is yours to use. Can see how your business can save serious time (and money) by purchasing PLR products to customize and sell rather than make your own from scratch?
PLR products may come with some or all of these rights :
PLR comes in all shapes and sizes too - you can purchase and resell PLR blog posts, eBooks, planners, webinars, courses, software, and more.
How Does PLR Work?
PLR works by sellers giving you permission to copy their work, use parts or whole pieces, or rebrand their work before publishing and selling it as your own.
For example, you could purchase a PLR course to rebrand, sell, and teach to your audience. You can also purchase PLR lead magnets to either use to grow your list or sell as info products and low-ticket offers on your website. You pay once for the product, and you can sell it to as many people and for as long as you like. It's that simple!
Is PLR Legal?
You bet!
PLR is 100% legal. Due to the licensing, you have permission to re-use and resell the PLR products that you purchase so long as you follow any specific terms set by the PLR seller (always check!) You are not violating any trademark, copyright, or intellectual property laws.
Remember though: it is important to ensure that your source is reputable and has the legal rights to the product, otherwise this could put you in some hot water (legally speaking). If you purchase a product from my shop then you do not need to worry about that at all though since we create everything in-house with our team of expert instructional designers, writers, and content creators.
Why PLR is Good for Your Business
For coaches, consultlants, and service providers looking to scale to new heights, there are a few distinct advantages that PLR provides:
Let’s explore these in depth.
PLR Saves You Time (and Helps Make a Quick Profit)
If you are currently trading time for money, then PLR is a fantastic way to bring in more revenue without sacrificing any more of your time.
Digital products are an excellent way to build passive income for your business. All you need is a sales page, an email sequence, and an audience willing to buy. And voila, you are set! What’s more, once you have a PLR product, you can continue to sell and re-sell it as your audience grows.
PLR gives you a head start on revving up this revenue engine too. Simply put your logo and a few finishing touches on your product and you are ready to sell.
PLR is Easy to Customize
Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a design wiz to brand and customize your PLR products.
Most PLR products are made to be generic so they can be customized for your niche and brand. Update the logo, branding, and even some of the content to personalize it to your audience. With a few tweaks, your PLR product will perfectly match your brand!
PLR Gives Easy Access to Expert Resources
Imposter syndrome - we’ve all been there.
High-quality PLR products give you access to expert content and resources, allowing you to sell a variety of products even if they aren’t covering a topic that is your bread and butter. For example, if you specialize in SEO but your clients have questions about running email campaigns, then a PLR course on Email Marketing can add value to your customer base while you hardly break a sweat.

How to Use PLR Products for Your Business
Now that you know what PLR is, let’s get down to business. Here are a few simple ideas for using and selling PLR products out of the gate:
Edit, Brand, and Sell
Most PLR products should be polished and ready to go once you place your logo on them. For a more personal touch though, edit/customize your PLR product to match your brand voice and your own expertise.
Not only will this help your product resonate with your audience, but it can also increase the value (which in turn, allows you to charge a higher price for it). A simple re-phrase of a module or the addition of a few videos in a course can go a long way to putting your personal stamp on a PLR product in no time.
Bundle and Sell as a Curriculum
Why stop at a PLR Planner or one PLR course?
Individually, these products will do just fine on their own, but by bundling PLR products together you can create a unique package for your audience that packs a punch when it comes to value. For example, I sell plenty of courses complete with sales funnels that you can combine into a curriculum to provide an all-in-one training series that can bring in multiple streams of revenue or a monthly membership fee on autopilot.
Pick courses that build on each other to achieve one of your audience's desired goals, such as starting a business or getting more visibility. Record your course videos, set each one up on an online course platform, and then offer them as a bundle of courses. Since the bulk of the course content is already created, you can focus on the marketing side of things.
Use Them as Lead Magnets and Low-Ticket Offers
Maybe selling an entire course isn’t your thing. That’s fine. PLR can be a great way to boost your growth in other ways too.
Try purchasing ready-to-use lead magnets or smaller, mini-courses and challenges to grow your email list. Once you've added your branding and own insights, you can convert something like a short report to a pdf. Then use your email marketing platform and landing page builder to create a simple listbuilding funnel. As you nurture your new subscribers with value-packed emails, you'll have a ready audience who will want to buy your other offers when you're ready.
Or leverage PLR products as low-ticket offers to earn quick cash and then drive more revenue from your existing products. You could create an Action Guide or workbook from a portion of a course, offer that for a low price on your lead magnet's thank-you page, and then upsell something higher priced (like a full course or coaching) in follow-up emails. When your audience has purchased from you one time, they're far more likely to buy more.
Either way, PLR can be a great complement to your existing product line and sales funnel.
